How your data is protected, in plain words
We won’t promise perfect protection, because no system is risk-free. What we offer is real layers of protection that you can explain to clients with confidence.
A safe with two locks
Client data is locked with keys, and those keys are locked by a master key kept somewhere else. Steal the database alone, and there’s nothing to open it with.
A separate room for every office
Your dashboard, database and encryption key are yours alone.
A guarded door
Temporary passwords must be changed on first login. Five wrong attempts lock the login, and idle sessions end after 12 hours.
A second check for sensitive steps
Downloading a backup or adding staff asks for the password again, even on an open device.
Encrypted backups
Create a backup with a passphrase only you know. Keran reminds you if a week passes without a download.
Changing the locks
Rotate your encryption keys at any time, for example when an employee leaves.

How to reassure clients and market your office
- Say what you actually do. “Your data is encrypted and every access is logged” beats “100% protection”.
- Explain why you need each document, and who in the office will see it.
- Reassure the family too. In many homes, this is a family decision.
- Never send ID photos or match details over WhatsApp. Sensitive matters belong in a phone call from the office.
- Remind clients they can request a copy of their data, ask for it to be deleted, or withdraw consent at any time.

Who’s behind Keran?
Keran is built by Marovent LLC, a software company registered in Wyoming, USA. The name comes from Aqd Al-Qiran, the Arabic marriage contract. Our job is to protect the trust that comes before that moment.

FAQ
Questions office owners ask us
Is Keran a matchmaking platform competing with me?
No. Keran works behind your office and never shows files or matches to anyone. Applicant data serves your office only, with no selling and no ads.
Can the Keran team see my clients’ data?
Only when technically necessary or when you ask for support in writing. Our confidentiality commitment is part of our Terms of Use.
Where is the data stored?
On a dedicated server with a hosting provider outside Egypt. Each office has its own dashboard, database and encryption key. See our Privacy Policy for details.
What happens if I don’t renew?
From day 8, the dashboard becomes read-only and you can still download everything (Excel and ZIP). On day 90 the dashboard is removed, and on day 120 the archive is permanently deleted.
How is my plan priced?
By your number of active applicant files, and by the country your office operates in, as stated in your subscription form, not by your device’s location.
How do I pay, and can I get a refund?
In Egypt, in EGP via Vodafone Cash or InstaPay. Outside Egypt, in USD via [INTERNATIONAL_PAYMENT_METHOD]. Refunds are prorated: full unused months, at the discounted price you paid, by the same payment method.
I have old files in Excel. Can I bring them?
Contact us and we’ll agree on how to move them. Imported files can’t be matched until their owners give consent.
Does my team need technical skills?
No. The dashboard works in Arabic and English, each person sees only their role’s tools, and we walk your team through the essentials at handover.
